The Pikes Peak Arts Council conceived the Peak Area Performances and Artists Awards (PAPAAs) in 2001 as a way to honor the arts in the Pikes Peak Region and heighten awareness of the thriving local art scene among the general public.  The PAPAAs drew inspiration from the Academy Awards - with the suspense and anticipation of overall winners and recognition for all those nominated.  For more information about the Pikes Peak Arts Council or the annual awards, contact Eve Tilley at 475-2465.
