::MISSION STATEMENT

Pikes Peak Arts Council was chartered in 1968 as a nonprofit organization whose mission is to hold a central position in the cultural community, providing a forum for the exchange of ideas and information in the Pikes Peak Region.

::GOALS

1. Identify, acknowledge, encourage and advance creative artists from the Pikes Peak Region and assist, promote and support local arts organizations.

2. Provide greater recognition of the generative work of the Pikes Peak Arts Council through stronger working relationships with local media, elected officials and community leaders.

3. Distribute PPAC event calendars, brochures and other materials to the local community, visitors and other interested parties.

4. Produce a cultural assessment of the Pikes Peak Region documenting the multiple impacts (aesthetic, social, economic, educational, etc.) of creative expression.

5. Produce at least one arts related event each year to showcase all art forms for the citizens of the Pikes Peak Region for the purpose of elevating arts appreciation, and creating high uniform standards of craftsmanship and artistic integrity.
